WARNING: THE FOLLOWING IS A NON EDITED MACHINE TRANSLATION FROM THE ORIGINAL IN SPANISH TThere are several levels of analysis of the impact of Internet in the organizations of the civil society. Most of these they stay in the most descriptive plane. How not to remain in the aparencial and to pass to the essential thing? The important thing will be to be able to determine: 1. what added value is giving to the organizations the fact of adopting Internet, that is to say that differs substantial it is contributing the technological tool to the acting. 2. what uses is giving to the endless quantity of information that is obtained of the net and how they are related these with the execution of the strategies, proposed goals and the population's necessities with which the organization works. 3. how new organizational work processes have been implemented to take advantage of the new communication forms and available information. THE SINGLE FACT OF HAVING ACCESS TO INTERNET DOESN'T MAKE THE DIFFERENCE. The fact that the quantity of available information increases that contacts settle down with many new people, entities and places Web it is not decisive if this doesn't impact in the variation of work processes, the execution of objectives and generation of new ideas, actions, products and services. An organization has been able to take advantage of the adoption of Internet if: 1. it has developed an organizational capacity to locate their sources of information and it has incorporated to their processes of work forms to discriminate against the useful thing for the organizational acting. 2. it stays modernized permanently with regard to the topics in which it works and work processes that contemplate the task of being a day have settled down. 3. it has organizational capacity to use of the information that generates the use of Internet. This is reflected in the agile transformation of their proposals, services and products starting from the new acquired knowledge and in the work processes that have been implemented to give to know the useful information at the different organizational levels. 4. it has established processes to analyze and to systematize the information that comes from the different services of the net. It consumes the information and reprocesa starting from their own perspective and interests, that is to say, it generates new information that locates in the net Internet again in turn and that it is used to the internal of the organization. 5. it has surpassed the individualized use of the tools of Internet. It is not the same thing the use that each one of people of the organization gives to the tools that the organizational processes that settle down to make use of the net. This is one of the main difficulties that has the analysis of the impact of Internet in the organizations because the levels of use personnel are very different inside each one of them but what it cares is that so much it has incorporated the tool like part of the acting of the organization and that so much they have settled down political institutional and organizational processes to make use of the new information and communication. Individual people can be agents of change and instigators of the incorporation of the technology in the entity in which they work but the difference is made when this it creates capacities to make organizational use of the potentialities of Internet. In a drastic way it can be said that THE FACT THAT ALL THE PEOPLE INSIDE OF OF An ORGANIZATION they are EXPERT USERS OF INTERNET it doesn't NECESSARILY IMPLY THAT INTERNET THIS HAVING An IMPORTANT IMPACT IN THE ORGANIZATION. |
