Hello!

The following information not this very related with the use of the ICT, but in a general way if it has deep relationship with the progressive paradigm of the proposers of the economy of the knowledge.

From Canada I can inform that recently an extensive report has been published that gives detail of as the Economy of the Knowledge this giving clear samples of a significant sub-use of acquired abilities (for example computer science) in the work market. In other words, the "gap" between a high educational level and available works that in fact capture a bigger preparation of the work force this growing in an alarming way. As conclusion, according to the author (Livingstone, 1998) the panacea of the knowledge economy seemed to be arriving to its organic capacity to assure well-being while continuous the incessant search of productive optimization after more gain margins.

Also in Canada, the organized labor sector (unions) this beginning to take actions against the new government politicians that in very near relationship with the corporate sector, they are modifying the curriculum in the high schools and vocational. It is sought to create a summary of "competitions" of global value that would respond nowadays to the organizational necessity of the companies from to close and to open up to the long one you line this way of production where it wants him to be but advantageous from the competitive point of view. This way, the labor movement criticizes strongly that government's politicians at this time are guided toward the indulgence of the corporate sector, leaving aside the preparation of a work force that can be prepared in a really flexible way to develop abilities with a high sense criticizes toward the social thing and the technological thing. In their place, it is simply looked for creating abilities that are easily exchanged in the labor market, now global.
