Dear Colleagues:

It is we pleasing to announce the Seminar organized by LASPAU, Strategic Use of the New Technologies of Information and Communications that it will be carried out between May 29 and June 26 the 2000. The presentation of the seminar will be first on-line and then present in Harvard University, offering to its institution the last managerial concepts on the application of the technologies for the institutional strategic change.

We consider that the Era of the Information offers an unparalleled opportunity to the Latin American university leaders to achieve the excellence of its institutions. From 1989, LASPAU has been in the vanguard of the training it has more than enough technology in support of the Latin American superior education. They have trained more than 4000 professors, librarians and Latin American investigators in academic applications of the Internet and in the strategic use of the technologies of the information.

STRUCTURES AND DATES

The seminar consists of two phases:

1. the on-line phase, via Internet (May 29 at June 16), it consists on three weeks of reading, investigation and electronic interaction with other colleagues of the region I lower the professors' of the seminar address.

2. the phase in situ (23 at June 26), it gathers all the participants in Harvard University, for the discussions of cases, presentations and practical. The participants will also have wide opportunities for interactuar with colleagues and members of the academic community of Cambridge.
