Hello friends
of Mistica, I want to share with you a small extract of the activities
that we are developing with regard to the investigation of impact of Internet
that is responsible for in Central America and that it is low my coordination.
For the development of this work we have received a lot of feedback of
the list Mistica for what we thank to all you this contribution to our
organization.
The investigation on the impact of Internet in the organizations of the
civil society of Central America that it is in charge of the Foundation
Access of Costa Rica is developing in these moments the following activities:
- the theoretical
mark has been concluded that serves like base for the analysis of all
the investigative activities. In these moments the document is writing
that presents this theoretical proposal.
- the application
has begun from a phone survey to a sample of 181 organizations of the
civil society of 6 countries of Central America that has as fundamental
purpose to know the state of Internet in the region and to establish
relationships between the organizational characteristics and the uses
of the ICT. It is hoped to have the conclusions of this application
in three months.
- the analysis
of the factors of the national environment of the 6 countries has begun
that in those that one works that they can inhibit or to favor the use
of the ICT in the organizations. The purpose of this great activity
is to determine what factors of the atmosphere they are important to
understand the processes of adoption of Internet in the organizations
and to define a model of context analysis that can be applied later
on to other countries or the same Central American countries in later
moments. This work is programmed so that it is developed during five
months.
- the case
studies have begun in specific organizations, mainly in Costa Rica and
Nicaragua. This work will be carried out during the whole course of
the investigation.
