WARNING: THE FOLLOWING IS A NON EDITED MACHINE TRANSLATION FROM THE ORIGINAL IN SPANISH Finally the Haitian government authorized the company ACN to work as provider Internet and it cleaned it of the positions (information of the 27/12/99). The observers fears that this measure taken under the strong pressure is not a definitive solution. It is difficult to determine accurately if the strong protest unchained in the Internet has been decisive in that decision. But it appears clear that has been taken under the political pressure of United States... for which the protest in the Internet has been one of the development factors. I invite the Haitians subscribed in the list Mistica to contribute their vision. To stay informed: http://funredes.org/espanol/carpeta.php3/temaid/17 PS: I take advantage of the opportunity to disclose a call in favor of the nets without ends of lucre of Haiti that play a key paper with a minimum support: http://www.funredes.org/espanol/editoriales.php3/docid/406 |
