Dear colleagues,

I have been invited by the Colombian colleagues for the 6� National Congress of Bibliotec�logos and Documentalistas during the days 4,5,6 and 7 of July of the 2000 in Bogot�, Colombia. The central topic of the congress is Digital Culture and information in next millennium", for what we want to conjugate such aspects as: the ethics, the social thing, the administrative thing, the technical thing, the accessibility, the processes, the services.

They have requested me that he/she speaks as introduction to the congress it has more than enough �tico(-cultural aspects) of the digital libraries. I will probably take the topic of the congress like title, and I will try to include local aspects. For this last he/she would thank the support of this group whose discussions continue with a lot of attention and interest a lot.
