WARNING: THE FOLLOWING IS A NON EDITED MACHINE TRANSLATION FROM THE ORIGINAL IN SPANISH

Dear Mistica members and Yanapanakists,

The average of the jury evaluation has been done and here are the results.

We received nine proposals. Five out of them have been rewarded (See down below)

Then, two proposals remain: their evaluations are very close to each other and their themes are very similar too. The budget share is not sufficient to fully satisfy both of them, and we are looking for the appropriate way to solve the situation.

Finally, two proposals remain, and they will not get any support.

Rewarded proposals (name - note/50 - amount US$):

1) ITURRI - 39.90/50 - 10000 US$

2) CAJ - 39.75/50 - 10000 US$

3) JIL - 38.75/50 - 10000 US$

4) ADRIAN - 36.90/50 - 7400 US$

5) PREN - 36.65/50 - 10000 US$

ITURRI: Jose Antonio Iturri: Fundacao Nacional de Saude / Ministerio da Saude (Brazil)
"Mailing lists and websites in Latin-American public health: what's the process?"

CAJ: Otilia Paredes - Centro de Animacion Juvenil (Venezuela)
"Where do we Plug in the Plug?"

JIL: Jose Ignacio Lopez Silva, Red de Desarrollo Sostenible (Nicaragua)
"A Window on Civic Participation in Public Management".

ADRIAN: Adrian Rozengardt, Centro de Estudios e Investigacion sobre la Infancia (Argentina)
"Rights of Child.net"

PREN: Jorge Tomas Vera Pren, Tecader S.C.P. (Mexico)
"Training and research virtual community on means of communication and national development, in the framework of globalization".

The two rewarded proposals with an incomplete budget are:

Pierre Johnson (Mexico)
"Oaxaca Indigenous Populations INTERNET Network".

Sebastian Lara, Inkarri (Bolivia)
"Indigenous story on the Network".

During the following days we will:

1) Establish the contracts with the rewarded persons / institutions so that they can quickly start their work.
2) Try to have two additional rewarded proposals so as to answer to general interest, within the framework of the established rules.
3) Publish the proposals on the web.

We would like to thank the persons from the VC who showed solidarity, getting involved in the jury (in addition to the IDRC, the FPH and Funredes):

Alfredo Aguirre (Argentina), for the two calls.
Luis Barnola (Venezuela), for the first call.
Raisa Minardi (Venezuela), for the first call.
Pablo Morris (Chile), for the second call.
Maria Isabel Neuman (Venezuela), for the second call.

Ever yours,

The coordination
