Learning and the World We Want will focus on education and lifelong
learning in the context of local and global searches for communities of
economic and social well-being. This conference is for all concerned with
the role of learning in calling forth and creating a sustainable global
community and a peaceful world.

Contributions are invited in diverse formats from a wide range of visions,
practices, policies and scholars including but not limited to:
- Aboriginal perspectives
- Adult and lifelong learning
- Advocacy and activism
- Communities and schools
- Critical, post-colonialist and anti-racist pedagogies
- Curriculum studies
- Education for peace and global survival
- Environmental perspectives
- Feminisms
- Leadership studies
- Learning and the search for global governance
- Links to the anti-globalisation movement
- Music, drama, dance and the arts in learning
- Policy initiatives in international and global education Transformative
learning
