The report of a shameful story where an NGO named FUNREDES is locally weakened by UNDP on the name of and in contradiction with a global policy endorsed by UNDP. Note: While the navigation is in English, all the documents exposed are in Spanish.

The story is exposed in English but the whole material are in Spanish.

We do hope this exposition will motivate and provide sound inputs for:

  1. An ICT4D researcher to study the case, draw conclusions and document the study to help this failure story build learned lessons for the profit of better multi-stakeholder process.
  2. UNDP New York to make an audit.

It is not the interest of Funredes to open a public polemic with the Dominican administration but rather to see the role of International Organizations in the building of an Information Society more transparent and accountable, especially in a context of multistakeholders approach.

We are open to answer questions about the case at <[email protected]> and will publish any reaction of implied parties in the same page.
