Pour votre information je vous annonce que les �crivains haitiens (
�tablis en Haiti ou ailleurs) tiendront leur premier congr�s durant
l'�t� 2003 et d�batteront d'un certian nombre de th�mes qui bien sur
seront d'un int�r�t � la fois pour la Caraibe et le reste du monde. Cet
�v�nement se veut un pr�lude � une autre manifestation que nous
�crivains d'Haiti sommes en train de d�finir pour la p�riode de mars
2004 � l'occasion du Bicentenaire de l'Ind�pendance. Je vous tiendrai au
courant de l'avancement des pr�paratifs. Il y a deja en vue d'autres
initiatives de colloques et de publications du Haitian Studies
Association. Mais ceci est la preuve qu'Haiti est isol�e de la Caraibe
et nous devrions tous nous poser la question � savoir comment
l'histoire coloniale et post-coloniale (celle faite contre
nous et celle faite par nous)ont construit un tel �tat de fait?

For your information I announce you that the Haitian writers (
establish in Haiti or elsewhere) will hold their first convention lasting
him summer 2003 and d�batteront of a certian number of topics who of course
will be simultaneously an interest for the Carib and the rest of the world. That
event wishes himself a prelude to another demonstration that us
writers of Haiti sums defining for the period of March
2004 to the opportunity of the Bicentennial of the independence. I will hold you to the
running of the preparation advancement. There is already in view of others
initiatives of symposia and publications of the Haitian Studies
Organization. But it is the proof that Haiti is isolated of the Carib
and we would owe all to raise us the question that is how
the colonial and post-colonial history (the one done against
us and the one done by us) built such a state of fact?
