Abstract:

Mike is an Information Science student. He works on a model of
electronic information production which would have a social impact
on Africa. This study has been undertaken because
- the information access gap between social groups keeps
growing
- information and knowledge are key elements of development
- no concrete initiative exists to make information reach people at
grassroots level.
This model is to be validated in a Southern Africa community.
This operation aims to show how the Internet can be used to achieve
socio-economic development goals.
