Colleagues,

Please keep in mind that not one laptop has moved into use under this
project. One Year ago the project promised to have 350,000 laptops in
the field by today. As of today it has none in use.

In addition to being a bad idea, the project is probably not even a
doable idea. It may be that some countries waste large sums buying
into the ill-conceived project, but it is just as likely that most
countries will have dropped the idea long before they sign the check
for the machines of questionable use and the questionable project.
