Spending Money to Offer and Earn Less: Microsoft offers stripped-down Windows
Does anyone remember when Intel actually crippled microprocessors to
strip them of functionality and offer a cheaper version on the market?
This is as silly as it gets... Spend money on removing functionality
from a product in order to offer it at a lower price. That is some
kind of vision, don't you think? Why not spend the money and efforts
in building special features for the Latin American and lower income
market and sell the same great product with these features at a lower
price. They are spending the money to cripple the product and market
a different version anyway. Why not spend the money to make it better
and not worst?
