I think Rosa Maria missed to core of the news here. Just as most countries
live and work 365 days a year, but have only one "national day" this first
celebration of a south-south cooperation day signals something more. For
example, it signals changes in the mandate of the UNDPs TCDC unit with its
change to broader south-south cooperation. It is a small step but it is a
step and the challenge will be to see how the "south" rises to its own
challenges, and how the "north" responds.
