Microsoft-UNESCO - agreement / accord]
English/French
Hello
This agreement is already under discussion in the PCT and Finance groups
I went to the Press Conference at UNESCO.
Be re-assured, the welcome to Bill Gates was not triumphal, and the Press
was unamimously negative. The text of the Microsoft/ UNESCO agreement which I was able to retrieve
at UNESCO and that was kindly scanned by Marie-Laure from
http://www.bpem.orgis available on site.
http://www.wsis-finance.org/gov-doc-en.html
it is also available at
http://www.wsis-pct.org/unesco-miscrosoft.html
The authorized translation of the article in English is
http://www.april.org/articles/divers/tribune-microsoft-unesco-liberation.html.en
( thanks to Fredric Couchet , one of the authors who belongs to the PCT
group )
> Unesco remains totally silent regarding critiques or requests for

Our request that the text of the agreement be available online had no
effect.
Replies were evasive.
It would have been better than our scanned images.
We believe that the agreement has some legal flaws that might allow the
Civil Society to ask the WSIS to demand that the texts of the agreement be
modified. This is under study, and all people with a legal background are
asked to join the PCT and the Finance groups to discuss further those
points.

If you have the texts or URLs of those agreement, please let us know.
Best regards
Francis

Bonjour
presse fut trs critique.
http://www.wsis-finance.org/gov-doc-en.html
et aussi sur
http://www.wsis-pct.org/unesco-miscrosoft.html
approfondie.
Cordialement
Francis
