Dear De,
We do apologize for such apparent disregard to non-Spanish
speaking people. Mistica is and should remain as a multi-linguistic
community.
The absence of English, French and Portuguese translation of the
mentioned survey should be explained as a financial constraint of the
project but never as the result of a hidden intention to become Mistica
a Hispanophone space.
Perhaps we should take care of at least providing non-Spanish
speaking people with automatically translated versions of the survey
including a statement about the restrictions of the process. We are
learning every single day.
>I have responded to the survey in English - not to be difficult, or
>imperialist [] but because there was not enough time for me to read and
>write in Spanish. I write this letter in English because it took years of
>persuasion by Mistica to convince me that I could, and having been given a
>right I feel that I should exercise it []
Your answer and your complaint in English are absolutely well received. We
do know about your good will for making this VC fulfills its objectives.
>Perhaps an important question which was omitted from the survey was about
>Mistica's voice. In April at Juan Dolio there was the expressed intention
>to reach out to the Caribbean (French and English speaking) and to Brazil
>(Portuguese)
You are certainly right. It is good time to incorporate that issue on the
work in progress. (Please take note friends who are managing the survey).
Once again De, sincerely thanks.
