Islander
The 7�meSalon of the Insular Book was held from the 24 to August 28,
2005; it accomodated 45 professional exhibitors (editors, booksellers,
associations) and more than 12 000 visitors. It was marked by the
active presence of an important delegation of Irish writers (Desmond
Egan, Dermot Healy, Anna Heussaff, Diarmuid Johnson,
Jennifer Johnston, �amon � Cios�in, Dara � Conaola, Miche�l �
Conghaile) and French specialists in the Irish literature (Bernard
Berrou, Jean Paul Blot, Roger Faligot, Jacqueline Genet, Jennifer
Heurley, Danielle Jacquin, Herve Jaouen...). In parallel the exchanges
and meetings with the traditional partners of the Living room
continued,come from the large basins from the insular francophonie, Haiti
(Cynthia
Bastien, Maguy Durc�, James Christmas), Martinique (Suzanne Dracius,
Lionel-edouard Martin), New Caledonia (Jean Guillou, Nicolas
Kurtovitch, Frederic Ohlen). The Prices of the Insular Book decreed
into 2005, once again, clarified diversity and richness of a
literature come from horizons which the geography separates but what
r�unisent the sea and insularity -- Haiti, Corsica, Ireland,

*** Authors and editors can as of now registering their works with the
8th edition of the Price of the Insular Book. Like each year since
1999, this one aims to distinguish from recent works (published
between the 1ermai 2005 and April 30, 2006) whose contents explicitly
emphasize the "insular matter": * insular works of authors, carrying a
"insular glance" on the world, * works of authors external with the
insular world, but nourished by the reality or the imaginary one of
the islands. In a preoccupation with an effectiveness, the payment was
slightly modified by holding account of the experiment of the
preceding editions; like the bulletin of inscription, it can be
downloaded (pdf format) on Internet site of the Living room:

Insular
El 7�meSalon del Libro Insular se desarroll� de 24 al 28 de agosto
de 2005; acogi� a 45 expositores profesionales (editores, libreros,
asociaciones) y m�s de 12.000 visitantes. Se ha caracterizado por la
presencia activa de una importante delegaci�n de escritores
irlandeses (Desmond Egan, Dermot Healy, Anna Heussaff, Diarmuid
Johnson, Jennifer Johnston, �amon � Cios�in, Dara � Conaola,
Miche�l � Conghaile) y especialistas franceses de la literatura

..).
En paralelo se continuaron los intercambios y encuentros con los
socios tradicionales del Sal�n,venidos de las grandes cuencas de la
francofon�a insular, Hait�
(Cynthia Bastien, Maguy Durc�, James No�l), Martinica (Suzanne
Dracius, - Edouard lionel Martin), Nueva Caledonia (Jean Guillou,
Nicolas Kurtovitch, Fr�d�ric Ohlen).
Los Precios del Libro Insular otorgados en 2005, una vez m�s, sacaron
a la luz la diversidad y la riqueza de una literatura venida de
horizontes que separa geograf�a pero que r�unisent el mar y la

Autores y editores pueden desde ahora inscribir sus obras a la 8.o
edici�n del Precio del Libro Insular. Como cada a�o desde 1999,
�ste tiene por objetivo distinguir recientes obras (publicadas entre
el 1ermai 2005 y el 30 de abril de 2006) cuyo contenido valorice
expl�citamente la "materia insular":
* obras de autores insulares, referentes una "mirada insular" al
mundo,
* obras de autores exteriores del mundo insular, pero alimentadas por
la realidad o por el imaginario de las islas.
Con un deseo de eficacia, el Reglamento se modific� ligeramente
teniendo en cuenta la experiencia de las anteriores ediciones; como el
bolet�n de inscripci�n, puede ser telecargado (formato pdf) en el
