BACKGROUND TO THE APC

Since 1990, the Association for Progressive Communications
(APC) - http://www.apc.org - has been working with civil society
organisations and social movements around the world to harness
information and communication technologies (ICTs) for social justice
and development.

APC has a network of more than 30 member organisations around
the world and implements activities in three core programme areas:

Communications and Information Policy;
Capacity Building and Strategic ICT Use;
Women's Networking Support.
