COMMON INFORMATION FOR ALL POSITIONS

Interested person must fulfill the following requirements:  

• To be able to communicate with two of the three languages: Spanish, English & French. 

• Be concerned about development issues and to have the maturity required for working in the field, and particularly to be respectful and tolerant of local culture.
  

• To have good communication skills for both oral and written situations, especially by e.mail.

• To have good human relations and be team work oriented, in particular to be able to collaborate via the Internet, within a non for profit context.

The positions are open for one-year contracts, renewable for an additional year or more depending on the capacity of FUNREDES to obtain support for new projects.  The positions are for international candidates, although in some cases they must belong to the LA & C region. For each one of these positions there will be a local counterpart:  the skill sharing with Dominican counterparts is a strategical part of the job.  Our organization has vast experience working as a virtual office: the positions can evolve in the future in job at distance including the possibility to return to the country of origin. 

The salary will be established according to the NGO usages, the cost of living in Dominican Republic and the candidate experience. Further information regarding each positions in French, Spanish and English can be found in the following links (see below "Positions available").

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE POSITIONS

Contract:                             One year, including a three months period evaluation, renewable yearly depending on the project conditions and employee performance.

Vacations:                           According to the laws of the Dominican Republic

Work schedule:                  Monday to Friday, 8 hours daily.  Nevertheless, (mutual) flexibility is expected when required due to the workload.

Reports:                               Elaboration of a duly structured and detailed monthly report of the activities performed

Medical insurance:            FUNREDES offers a private medical insurance plan.
