Description: The Foundation Networks & Development (FUNREDES, http://funredes.org/english), an NGO dedicated to the dissemination of New Information and Communication Technologies (NICT) in the South, is offering several jobs in Santo Domingo. This is to fill new requirements for human resources which are a consequence of the expansion of FUNREDES activities, and to serve as a basis for strengthening the organization. Position available

Information About the Positions

Interested persons must:

• be able to communicate in two of the three languages: Spanish, English, French.
• have interests in development issues and be mature enough for grassroots activities.
• be able to communicate well, both orally and in written form, esp. by e−mail.
• have aptitudes for team activities, especially, collaborative work via the Internet.

Most of those positions are 2 year contracts and do not require a full−time person. Preference will then be given to people capable to fill simultaneously two (or more) of the described jobs.

Some positions will be filled locally, in the Dominican Republic, others at an international level, the transfer of know−how being a central part of the plan. International jobs correspond to a level of "young professionals"; a preference will be given to those candidates for whom a cooperation framework allows a third party to partially or totally cover the expenses.

Pay level will be established following NGO patterns and people experience (or, when applicable, international cooperation frameworks).
